Hi, I’m Jude, an aspiring Product Manager and currently building my competence in the HNG Internship.

I’m in the Product Management Track, and amongst other fantastic PMs with different complementary skills.

I’m in the AIVG team, tasked with working with cross-functional teams to deliver an AI Video & Thumbnail Generator product.

I am a project manager, leveraging my transferable skills to make a success of my product management journey.

My Contribution to HNG

I am currently in stage 5 and some of my notable contributions so far include:

Working with a selection of PMs to create a boilerplate GitHub issues spreadsheet for Backend developers

Working with a selection of video marketers to produce a boilerplate ‘Instructional Video’ (template)

Working with a group of multi-stack Backend developers to test their live Authentication/Registration endpoints (PHP and Python)

    Github Boilerplate spreadsheet

    Description
    Collaborate with PMs to create some boilerplate tickets for the BE developers

    Role
    I created the tickets for the Authentication Feature

    AI Music Video

    Description
    Select a music genre, use GenAI to create the lyrics and audio, then create a video for the song

    Role
    It was an individual project

    QA Test Reports for Devs

    Description
    Test a shopping app (Timbu) built by a mobile dev and test the live endpoints for PHP and Python developers.

    Role
    I assessed the original Figma designs and approved GitHub tickets, then wrote the test cases, tested, and wrote a report on my findings.

Growth

I’ve learned a lot during these first 5 stages of the HNG Internship. So far, I’ve started learning about:

  • Ticketing tools like GitHub and Linear
  • Endpoint testing tools like Postman
  • Design tools like Figma and Canva

I plan to work hard to become a finalist (stage 10) and look forward to learning more along the way, especially about the technology and language (Python) used to bring our AIVG product to life.
